Oma is what we call her ... she came to us from a shelter where she was dropped off to be euthanized. She's older, we are guessing 12ish, no name, no history, a little hard of hearing, eyesight is possibly failing so it's possible her family felt it was time and while we will never agree a shelter should be used as a vets office, or a final resting place, we don't know the whole circumstance and we aren't judge and jury, we just want what's right for Oma. The shelter felt that this little old lady had too much pep in her step to euthanize, so we are hoping we can find that one last home for Oma where she can live out her life. It could be a few months, a year or longer, we don't know. We do know she's a sweet old gal who gets around fine and lives with other dogs in her foster home. Cats are unknown but if they can run it should be fine. Maybe older kids would be best. www.res-que.org for an application.
