Captain, pictured with his fabulous foster moms will be ready for adoption in a few weeks. He is almost 2 years old and still needs to be neutered but unfortunately he came down with kennel cough so his surgery was moved out. A little about Captain. He went down in the back, possibly IVDD and it was decided he'd do best in rescue. Before we got him he was put on crate rest and our little buddy was determined to walk, although he wobbles and hops when he is on the move. Captain does have some incontinence, sometimes he seems to realize when he needs to potty but he cannot always control when he goes. Little Mr. Man is a pro on taking off belly bands and diapers, he is just a little character. He can be protective and takes a minute to warm up to people, it's like he has a suspicious nature about him In spite of his few issues this dog is amazing. He needs a home with minimal stairs or a ramp will work. We have no clue how Captain will progress but therapy and accupuncture might help his condition. Don't let a few bumps in the road keep you from meeting Captain. He is okay with other dogs and cats are unknown. No young children with Captain.
