All groomed and still looking for a new home!
Helen is a 4 year-old Double Merle Australian Shepherd. She is Deaf but not blind. She doesn't see far well but can see up close. She is UTD on shots, chipped, and spayed. She is kennel trained (comes with her kennel and bed)and potty trained. She has some training and comes with a training collar. She is great with male dogs and ok with cats.
Now that all that is out of the way Helen is a loveable dork. She loves pets and cuddles but prefers to initiate them. She loves to play tug it's her favorite game. She requires exercise and attention. Her ideal home might be a single active person or an active couple that have a fenced yard. She would also do well with someone that has a lot of land as she learns boundaries well and won't bolt.
She can be destructive to socks and underwear when bored and they can be found, and your trash can would be best if it had a lock. Being deaf she probably doesn't know her bark is loud and she does bark at shadows and light. I have found it best to keep blinds closed.
I feel she deserves a home that has ample time for her and she can roam freely and only use her kennel to sleep in (she loves to sleep in her kennel and asks to go in it every night around 930) and go in when she wants. I think it would be unfair for her to stay here and have to be kenneled all the time. That being said she is an amazing dog and won't go to just anyone and Res-que will be doing a home check and require a contract.
So if you are looking for an adventure buddy fb messenger me or email me at lynnemarie25@gmail.com Also you can contact Res-que at www.res-que.org and express your interest in Helen.7
