Hi guys, it’s me River!!! They call me River cause they found me swimming in the Truckee earlier this winter but I finally scored a great foster home and it’s been swell here but I need help finding my forever home now. Don’t let my size fool you, I’m a gentle giant. I’m a laid back mellow dude but I occasionally get into play mode and tackle my foster parents and jump around and do the Husk y dance. I sure love people and will follow you everywhere….the bathroom, the bedroom, the kitchen. I can be real helpful in the kitchen too, just let me know what you need me to help eat and I've got it covered. I also enjoy hanging out with the family watching Netflix and my days of adventure swimming are over, really, I swear. I’m about 1.5 years old, have all my shots and they gave me the snip last week so I’m less humpy now, which apparently wasn’t one of my best traits. Foster mom says I’m a dork but foster dad says that’s just who I am and that my floppy ears give me even more goofy charm. Who are we kidding, I’m smart, sexy, real fluffy...the full package here! 

I’m a chill guy, I think that must be the Malamute in me but the Husky gave me some big beautiful blue eyes that are pretty irresistible. I don’t mind other dogs as long as they aren’t hyper freaks in my biz. I currently live with a cat and she is great but I have been known to chase cats that run from me. I don’t like being confined to tight spaces and left alone for long periods so I prefer a yard to roam. I like to go about my business without without being told what to do but I will listen if treats and affection are involved. I love everyone and can be a cuddle bear but foster mom says I can’t live with little kiddos as I’m a big boy and sometimes I forget my size when I try to roll over her to snuggle or jump up to get a big hug. I really want a family that can take me hiking and go for walks on the beach, maybe even go to the snow as I can get real hot with this heavy coat. I need to go to a home owner who has a 6ft fenced yard. If you are looking for a sweet and dorky boy that will take naps with you and love you forever, that’s me!
