Jake is back in Res-Que, he is a 1yr old Lab/Burnese mountain dog mix. His adopters tried very hard to make things work with him for 2+ months and loved him very much. Unfortunately Jake is very terrified of children to the point of hiding, shaking, urinating himself, we were hoping he would adjust but he just isn’t. He doesn’t have one mean bone in his body at all, him being scared of children just comes from lack of being socialized from his original owners, and when he gets scared he just shuts down. We are looking for a very very specific home for Jake and there won’t be any exceptions. We need a home with a matured person/couple (done having children and kids grown up) and has to have another dog or dogs in the home since that is what makes Jake most confident after coming from his original home living outside with 5 dogs, a home owner since he does look like a Rottweiler mix. He is potty trained, crate trained, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and just the happiest, goofiest, loviest dog in the world once he gets to know you. He will need a home willing to give him a little time to adjust and get to know you.
