Let’s talk Sawyer! Now I could tell you about the sad and heartbreaking past this boy has endured at such a young age but once you meet this resilient puppy you wouldn’t even believe it. He’s a busy body puppy who wants stimulation and exercise. He wants cuddles and attention. He wants car rides and brain games. Sawyer doesn’t want to be a backyard dog; he wants to adventurer and see all that he can…and he wants to do it with a human companion who sees having a dog as a lifetime relationship and not as just another thing to own. Sawyer does like other dogs, but I did call a busy body for a reason so not all dogs like them a Sawyer. Making sure he is a good match with what other dogs are in the home is key because he will pester, he will want to play and chew and run and doesn’t always take no for an answer. If your dog at home is a couch potato, then this fun-loving boy might not be the best fit. He is eager to please and food motivated so training is fun and something he’d love to continue! His foster mom is very willing to put in some extra time to help him transition into his forever home if needed, she has years of experience with dogs and really wants him to thrive in his next home. Sawyer needs a home who brings home a puppy with realistic expectations! Will he know everything? heck no! Will he be on his best behavior?….maybe for the first 10min or so. Is he going to chew things? probably after the 1st 15minutes. Hey he’s a puppy and still figuring out so much! He has so much potential, but it takes a good compassionate understanding human to see that he too is an individual like we all are. With proper guidance and handling he will be the most loyal, snuggly adventure dog anyone could ask for. Sawyer is approximately 7 months old. Neutered and current on age appropriate shots.
